Parks on the Air: Hillside Park, East Bay, Maine

Hi! Herb from the East Bay Amateur Radio Club here.
We’re over at Hillside Park up by the old Pibbles Property doing a Parks on the Air event.

Parks on the Air, or POTA, is an amateur radio activity where operators set up temporary stations in parks and make contacts with other stations around the country and the world.

Everyone is welcome to stop by, and just so you know, under FCC rules, an unlicensed person can operate a station as long as a licensed control operator is present and directly supervising the operation, so if you’re interested in Amateur Radio and don’t have your license yet, this is the perfect time to come out and see if this hobby is for you!
